Project Update – 7/17/15

  • Lafayette: We sent off the PO on the new bathroom in LHS 900 bldg and alerted the company. Gerry purchased the materials to install the new classroom door, which will be installed this month. Starting to look at ways to adapt boys’ locker room area.
  • FCI: FG addresses a huge number of issues, all of which deserve attention over the next 10 years. Next step is to start placing these items into the CIP/Maintenance timeline.
  • Jamestown: Progress Meeting Wednesday am. Project is on schedule. The contractor has completed all Phase 2 moisture mitigation, and begun wall painting. Much of the 2nd floor has be painted and new rubberized tile installed in five classrooms. The LED parking lot lights will be installed beginning early August; same time work starts in the media center. Next progress meeting is July 30. We will conduct our first walk thru/inspection after the meeting. Contractor estimates that one wing of the second floor will be completed by that point.
  • DJM: Having issues with the DJ Montague bus canopy. Apparently, JCSA does not have an exact location on their water line running by the sidewalk. We need to know this to avoid placing a post there. Looks like we may have to drill some test holes to note the line’s location.
