At tonight’s School Board meeting, the board determined that there will be no further discussion on redistricting high schools for the 2018-19 school year. High schools will maintain their current attendance boundaries in 2018-19.
The Board asked for minor tweaks to middle school redistricting options, and also asked for the drafting of a middle school map that closes the socio-economic range to 10% between the four middle schools. This map will be drafted for board review; however, it is still to be determined as to whether the adjusted map would move forward for further consideration.
The Board will continue middle school redistricting discussions at their January 2 work session with a goal of approving a final map in February 2018. James Blair Middle School will open in September 2018.
