Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools has partnered with NASA for 25 male students to participate in NASA Goddard’s overnight Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) “Boys Night Out” event on Friday, June 7, 2019. Similar to the female event in October, male students will engage in hands-on activities that challenge and promote knowledge and discovery in STEM. The program is designed to reinvigorate, inspire and engage males in STEM education. In addition, students will be exposed to STEM career pathways as NASA men share and demonstrate the STEM work they do on a daily basis. This program is at no costs to students.
Interested male students must submit this completed application to the school counseling office by Monday, April 8, 2019. Invited students will be required to complete additional paperwork as requested by NASA and WJCC Public Schools including: WJCC Public Schools Medical and Liability forms and a NASA Liability Waiver.
Notifications will be made to student and parent/guardian emails on Friday, April 12, 2019.
