Good Afternoon Berkeley Parents,

Parents, this is the last week of school prior to the Spring Break and we will be cruising to the end of the year after that. We have a half day dismissal 12:20 PM on Friday, March 29th. We hope that you can join us on Monday for the PTA digital families community event starting at 6:00 PM. This week starts with an B Day on Monday, March 25th, 2019.

Pennies for Patients Fundraiser:

Please help us raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by donating any loose change or bills to your homeroom class!  You can give in person or give on-line at  Look on the left hand side and scroll down to donate to a classroom or student and search for your homeroom teacher.

If we raise over $750, the homeroom that donates the most money wins a free lunch for their class from the Olive Garden.  Fundraiser ends on Friday, March 29.

Digital Families Community Event

Raising children in the age of smartphones and social media brings new challenges and concerns for all families. That’s why the BMS PTA is inviting you to the Digital Families Community Event, which promotes safer and more responsible use of online technology among children and families.

During this event your family will learn together about the importance of digital safety and online behavior through various workshops. Some of the things you can expect to talk about are healthy online habits, digital privacy, and how to be a connected as a family online.

A light meal will be provided, and childcare is available for younger siblings.

Free tickets are limited, so sign up now:

Half Day-

Friday, March 29th 2019 is a half day of school for students. They will not have lunch and will be dismissed at 12:20 PM. Please make plans accordingly.

After School Help

Students who need additional help may stay after school with teachers to get more help. Buses are provided and leave at 5:00 PM. Tuesdays are for Math and Science, Wednesdays are for Related Arts, and Thursdays are for Social Studies and English. All students are encouraged to stay to get that more individualized instruction. We will be reaching out to you and your child if they need additional support. After school is a great time to get a concept that you didn’t get the first time around. After School will continue starting next week. If you need assistance for SOL prep, we also want you to stay after school.

If there are specific problems with your bus run, please call the main office at the school 229-8051 and report them to transportation 565-0808.
