18 Days of school left and we are now into our second week of SOL Testing. Last week, we tested for reading and geometry and this week, we begin Math for all students and Civics for 8th grade. There is additional news on the stepping up program, the exceptional games, and the 8th grade end of the year dance. This week starts with an A Day on Monday, May 20th, 2019.

May 21- Math 6 and Algebra 1 for 7th graders
May 22- Math 7 and Algebra 1 for 8th graders
May 23- Civics
You should have received a letter with your student. The letter allows your student permission to take an expedited retake if they score between 375-399. Please make sure you return this letter so that your student will be set to retest if needed.
After School Help
Students who need additional help may stay after school with teachers to get more help. Buses are provided and leave at 5:00 PM. Tuesdays are for Math and Science, Wednesdays are for Related Arts, and Thursdays are for Social Studies and English. All students are encouraged to stay to get that more individualized instruction. We will be reaching out to you and your child if they need additional support. After school is a great time to get a concept that you didn’t get the first time around.
