Regular School Schedule

School starts at 8:05 am. Students should not arrive at school earlier than 7:55 a.m. as the school building and classrooms will not be open before 7:55 and proper supervision of children is not available until then. Students are dismissed at 3:05 p.m.

School Tardiness

A student is considered tardy after 8:05 a.m. and must report to the office before going to class.  In order to have an excused tardy they must have a note or parent with them. Delays because of traffic, oversleeping or missing the bus are not acceptable excuses for tardiness. Students must attend at least half of their classes for the day to be counted present and attend afterschool activities/practices.

Absences

Whenever your child is not going to be in school, it is important that you call the Attendance Office on the morning of  the absence.  You may call 229-8051 ext. 133 at any time and  leave a voice mail message if no one answers.   Notes must be received within 5 days of the student’s return or the absence will remain unexcused.  Doctor’s notes are required for 4 or more consecutive days. Extended Absences (more than three days) need to be pre-approved by the principal. A note from the parent/guardian needs to be sent to the main office two weeks prior to the absence.

Makeup work can be requested by directly contacting your student’s teachers via email or Parent Vue.  Requests for work will be processed within 24 hours. If you feel your student will be back the following day they can ask their teachers for makeup work upon their return.  Those without internet access can call the Attendance Office to request work.

Early Release Time

(anytime before 2:45 p.m.)

Parents must sign students out in the main office, at which time the student will be called from class. Students may NOT be picked up from school by individuals who have not been approved by the parent in writing.
