Clara Byrd Baker has been chosen as the first elementary school in southeast Virginia to participate in the I’m Determined project. I’m Determined is sponsored by the Virginia Department of Education in hopes of teaching self-advocacy skills to students. By teaching goal-setting, problem-solving, and self-management skills, students can improve their quality of life.
