Printed packets of learning activities were provided to each student before the extended school closure. These materials are designed for review, to keep students engaged in learning, and reinforce essential skills; therefore, they will not contain new concepts.

Electronic copies of the packets are posted online as a reference for families.

Need to activate a ParentVUE Account?

For parents who have not activated their ParentVUE account, we are available to help get you set up. Please send an email to to receive an account activation code. Be sure to include the following information in your email:

  1. Parent full name
  2. Student(s) full name, school, and grade level
  3. Email address for the account
  4. Primary phone number

Once the request is received, we will begin the activation process and will send you the ParentVUE Activation Key with complete instructions.

NOTE: When both parents/guardians of a child wish to have an account, a separate email address is necessary for each. Shared email addresses will not work with the system.

WJCC Community Food Resources

A growing number of community organizations and local restaurants are stepping forward to support WJCC Schools students and their families who may be in need of food and supply assistance. These efforts are being led by organizations outside of WJCC Schools. Families are encouraged to call ahead to all agencies to ensure they are still open before visiting. This list of community partners will be updated daily as needed.

If you represent an agency with organized community resources to support families, please contact Dr. Felicia Highland, Coordinator for Multicultural Awareness and Engagement, to be included on this list.

La Tienda will offer a set menu on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 4-7pm beginning Saturday, 4/4. Individuals are asked to “Pay What They Can” and no one will be turned away. Electronic means only, no cash, and the meals will be packaged for take-out only.

Grab & Go Meals

“Grab and Go” meals will be available to families in need of assistance during the closure. Bags with two days’ worth of breakfast and lunch items will be distributed 8-10 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at the locations below.Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA) will generously provide free rides to and from these school locations to allow families to receive “Grab and Go” meals. Students do not have to be present for families to pick up a meal.

“Grab and Go” Meal Locations:

  • James River Elementary School, Front Entrance – WATA Route 1
  • James Blair Middle School, Bus Parking Lot – WATA Route 2 & Route 5
  • Toano Middle School,  Front Entrance – WATA Route 9
