Students will develop choral skills through singing, in unison and harmony, with an emphasis on vocal production and techniques.Students will study sight-reading and theory, through a broad range of repertoire and styles.Attendance at all scheduled rehearsals and performances is required; stage presence and expected etiquette is an essential part of the performance.Students who demonstrate advanced skills will have the opportunity to participate in sanctioned VMEA and/or ACDA choir activities (e.g., District VIII Chorus, All-State Chorus, All-VA Honor Choir, District Assessment, and Festival).There is a fee associated with this course.
