Dear Hornsby Family,
It is with a sad heart that I announce my resignation at the end of this school year. This was not a decision made lightly and I will dearly miss each and every one of you. Every student I’ve worked with has touched my heart and taught me much. I have been a counselor for 12 years and have known some of you for the duration of that time or even longer. I will leave with a lifetime of sweet memories. As many of you know, I’m a person of few words and often find that a quote serves well to express things I’m unable to say myself. My hero the late Maya Angelou says, âI’ve learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn. I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.â I will never forget how you all have made me feel!
