On Wednesday, October 29, all 6th grade students and their teachers participated in Character Day. They dressed as a favorite character in a book, presented in English class as the character, and submitted a written piece about the book. The day culminated with a video of Taylor Swift and a group of students discussing the power of reading and writings. It was a great day of celebrating literature.
On October 28th the Hornsby football team played for cancer research against TMS. The team sold cancer support items and donated the money. Great job guys! Thank you for caring!
Do you ever wonder about social media, what sites attract students, how it’s used?
During the next PTSA meeting, on November 20th, at 6:30pm, the results will be reviewed and there will be a guest speaker from law enforcement who will do a segment on social media offering information, suggestions, and tips.

Starting Monday, 10/20, in conjunction with our unity week and putting others first, we are participating in a NJHS sponsored food drive! Students may bring food to their homeroom teachers each day and the items will be collected. The food drive will be from Oct. 22-Oct. 31st. The winner of the drive will receive a bagel breakfast party on the day of the teachers choice.
