Support Hornsby Relay for Life May 1st

Hornsby will have a team present during Williamsburg’s upcoming Relay for Life event.  The event will take place around the track around Jamestown High School on May 1st.   For those that may not familiar with Relay for Life, it is an overnight community event in which participants volunteer to walk in support of cancer research.  In addition to walking at the event, there is a fundraising component for each team.  The American Cancer Society is the sole beneficiary.  Currently, we have a goal of raising a minimum of $1,000. It seems we have all had someone in our life that has been impacted by cancer.  Here is our opportunity to do something about it.

The following is a link to the event site: and a link to our team’s site: .  You can sign up here to donate to our team.

We will have “Relay Days” at HMS to help fund raise a few times per week between now and May 1st.  These are days in which staff and students are able to donate a small amount of money to support our cause.  Those who donate to the cause will receive a small privilege for the day.  Those who donate will receive a cancer ribbon sticker to wear for the day, along with the privilege, which will indicate that they are supporting our cause.  We are hoping to incorporate a wide variety of student privileges between now and the event, such as getting to go outside for advisory or showing a movie after-school.  Please ask your student about upcoming events.

For this to be successful, we really need your support.  We thank you in advance for your support of this cause.
