Consequences for violation of the ”off and away” cell phone and electronic device policy

1st Offense

Cell phone or electronic device is confiscated and returned to the student at the end of the school day. Cell phone will be turned in to office reception by the person who confiscated it. School administration and security can assist. Parental contact will be made by office reception.

 

2nd Offense

Cell phone or electronic device is confiscated and returned to the parent.

 

3rd Offense

Cell phone or electronic device is confiscated and returned to the parent. A meeting with the student and parent will be documented when the parent comes to collect the student’s phone Student will be assigned after-school detention by school administration.

 

4th Offense

Cell phone or electronic device is confiscated and returned to the parent. Student is assigned a day of ISS by school administration.

 

5th Offense and Continuous Offenses

Cell phone or electronic device is confiscated and returned to the parent. Student is assigned the next level consequence.
