Congratulations to the JBMS music department! On June 7th the Band, Orchestra and Chorus competed at Kings Dominion! They brought back four trophies including Second Place Middle School Band, Second Place Middle School Chorus, First Place Middle School Orchestra, and Grand Champion Orchestra! Way to go Spiders!
The WJCC combined high school jazz band gave a performance that showcased these talented musicians from all three high schools and is inspiring our middle school students to pursue their own musical paths.

All of the JMBS 7th-grade science classes had the opportunity to visit the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) and experience using dip nets, seine nets, and lab equipment, including microscopes, to study local marine organisms.
Spider baseball wins big as they ground the Hornsby hawks in a rivalry game on April 24th! Spider softball fought hard as they came up short against Hornsby Hawks. Last regular season game is at home against New Kent, Monday the 29th, 4:30.
