Auditions will be held for the Spring One-Act after school on Wednesday and Thursday this week in Mrs. DiMattia’s room.  All students are welcome and encouraged to come!  Anyone interested in learning technical theater is also encouraged to come.

Attention students, are you updating your shot records for school or college? The Health Department is offering free meningitis vaccine to anyone who is uninsured for with Medicaid.  If you have private insurance your insurance will be billed.  This offer expires at eh end of April.  See the school nurse for more information.

Model UN will meet this Wednesday and Manga Club will meet this Thursday after school.

Operation Smile will meet Wednesday, March 25th after school in room 180.

Attention Students: This week is the last week of our Pennies for Patients Service Project for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America. Seniors are in 1st place in their donations followed by the juniors.  Let’s pick it up 9th and 10th graders.

Bring your spare change to the lunch room on Thursday and Friday.  No donation is too small or too big

Attention Science National Honor Society, we will have our meeting tomorrow March 18th in room 144.  Please bring dues and if you are a senior, 5 dollars for honor cords.

Are you interested in learning about electronics through hands on activities? Would you like to learn from industry experts? come out to room 136 on Tuesday, March 17  to learn more about the electronics club.

Auditions for Jamestown High School select choirs for the 2015-2016 school year will occur on March 30 and March 31st. All current and new choir members are invited to audition. Sign up for a 10 minute audition time outside the choir room. Don’t want to audition? You can sign up for  the non-auditioned Concert Choir. All choirs meet as a class. The grade level that donates the most change will be recognized on Monday! Did you know… Incidence rates for all types of leukemia tend to be higher among males than among females.

This week is pi week! Each day there will be a question involving pi. Submit your answer to the media center before the end of fourth block to enter a daily drawing to win an actual, edible pie. In addition, there will be pi day activities during lunches on Thursday. Thursday: Mr. Eames is trying to make a giant orange pie. He has oranges that are 4 inches in diameter including the rind, and the rind is a quarter inch thick. If the pie requires a cubic foot of oranges (excluding the rind), how many oranges does Mr. Eames need?

Attention Students, Faculty & Staff: This week during all lunch blocks, FBLA Students are collecting your spare change to help support our Pennies for Patients program. Tomorrow is the last day to donate your spare change to our cause.  The grade level with the most donations will be recognized in a few days. Did you know… Males are expected to account for approximately 57 percent of new cases of leukemia.

This week is pi week! Each day there will be a question involving pi. Submit your answer to the media center before the end of fourth block to enter a daily drawing to win an actual, edible pie. In addition, there will be pi day activities during lunches on Thursday.  Wednesday: a square is inscribed within a circle of radius 7 inches. In square inches, what is the area inside the circle but outside the square? Your answer must be exact or rounded to the nearest hundredth. See the math bulletin board for a diagram.

Seniors: the $50 deposit for the Senior Trip will be collected Today during ALL 3 lunches. Today, March 10th is the last day to turn in your deposit.
