Seniors Featured in Williamsburg’s Next Door Neighbors Magazine

Two of Jamestown’s graduating seniors were the subjects of in-depth articles in the June edition of Williamsburg’s Next Door Neighbors Magazine.  We are so proud of Afrika Abdul-Haqq and Tyler Lightell and hope you enjoy learning more about their educational experiences at Jamestown and their hopes for the future.

Jamestown’s Fine arts night will be Tuesday June 2nd from 6-8 pm.  Come support Jamestown’s Artists, musicians, singers and actors.  It is free and open to the public.

Come out and see the senior-directed one act comedy for free on June 4th. The show will start at 7pm, in the auditorium, and will be 30 minutes long. Hope to see you there!

Today is the blood drive.  Those signed up come to the gym during your scheduled time and be sure to bring a picture ID.  Thanks for giving the greatest of gifts, the gift of life!

Current and active members of Model UN who have attended or researched for conferences this year, please come to the library at the start of AEP for a team photo.

Members of the Anime and Manga club should also come to the library during AEP for their photo.

Unlimited bowling, taking the Buffalo Wild Wings Blazen Challenge, pile in the photo booth for a picture, eating some great food, and making memories that will last a lifetime…at the LATE NIGHT OUT event held at the Williamsburg Bowling Alley. Juniors and Seniors are automatically entered into the $500 cash prize drawing. You must be present to win. Stop by the PTSA table during lunch to buy your $15 ticket while supplies last.

Rising Seniors Selected for Boys and Girls State

Seven rising Jamestown Seniors were selected by the faculty to attend the the American Legion Boys State and American Legion Auxiliary Girls State programs.  The program teaches how government works while also helping student develop leadership skills and an appreciation of their rights as a citizen.  It is the highest faculty voting honor to be nominated.  The selected students will attend a week long progam this summer at Radford Univeristy (Boys State) and Longwood University (Girls State).

Be a responsible citizen. Mark your calendar for May 22nd when the League of Women Voters will be here from 9:45 to 12:50 outside of the cafeteria to assist you in registering to vote. Please note, you must be years old by November 10th 2015 to register to vote.
