Innovative Art and Technology Project With Matoaka Elementary and Jamestown High

The results of a collaborative art and technology project will be on display at WJCC Central Office starting this Wednesday afternoon and will remain on display for the next six weeks.  The project involved  Jamestown’s National Art Honor Society, Mrs. Jowett’s Mass Media class, Fine Arts teacher Mr. Pritchard, and Mrs. Campbell’s kindergarten class at Matoaka Elementary with the help of Matoaka Art Teacher Ms. Henderson.

Kindergarten students created drawings that were then enhanced by hand drawing from members of the Art Honor Society and through high tech tools by Mass Media students.  The photographs show the elementary students seeing their inspirational drawings side by side with the enhanced ones for the first time.  All work will go to the Matoaka students when the students come back in the fall.
