There’s still time to enter the Reflections Arts contest sponsored by the Jamestown PTSA, and the deadline has been extended to Friday, Oct. 30. Entries must follow the contest theme and can include dance choreography, music composition, photography, video, writing, and visual arts (both two-dimensional and three-dimensional). Entry forms with contest information are available in the blue Reflections box in the main office, and entries should be turned in to that box as well. Don’t forget — the deadline is Oct. 30!

Attention Students: The holidays are right around the corner. Would you like an extra $100 to spend on those holiday gifts? If so, all you need to do is to join our Bayport Credit Union by October 30. By doing so, your name will be entered into a drawing for a $100 VISA Gift Card which can be used anywhere you shop. During your lunch block, stop by the Bayport Branch across from the Guidance Office

Seniors needing to have their portrait made or a picture retake will need to see Ms. Green in room 138 ASAP!

Lynchburg College, Randolph-Macon College, ODU, West Point, and the University of Chicago will all be visiting the week of October 12th. Interested juniors and seniors must sign-up in Guidance at least one day in advance of the visit. Future Hornets, Yellow Jackets, or Phoenix, sign-up now!

Attention all World Language Honor Society Members: Yearbook will be taking a picture of all Foreign Language Societies today during AEP in the courtyard.

Attention Students: Today, October 9, is the last day to join FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), our student organization for Business Students. Please bring your $12 dues and registration form to Room 149 or Room 151.

Anyone interested in purchasing a Jamestown Theatre Baseball t-shirt should pick up an order form from Mr. Stone or from the bulletin board outside of 182.

Randolph College will be visiting Jamestown High School on Monday, October 12th at 11:00 a.m. New this year- they will offer an onsite admissions opportunity for seniors! Seniors with a 3.0 or higher GPA are invited to complete an application that day or bring in a printed copy of their Common App, a transcript, a letter of recommendation, and their SAT or ACT scores and be immediately considered for admission. Stop by Guidance to sign up to meet with the representative or for help in gathering the necessary documents.

Senior if you are applying to colleges. You must pick up your parchment code from Mrs. Freeman in the counseling office in addition to the green transcript request forms. Please pick up your codes as soon as possible. Any questions please see your counselor.

Girl-Up is a club where we can work together to raise money and awareness for girls in less developed countries.
