Daily Announcements for November 11, 2015

Any JHS student that wants to participate in this years sleighbell run on December 12th, please get a registration form from Frau Staudt, room 227. Students run for free. Parent signature is required on the registration form, which has to be turned in on Friday, November 13th.

Auditions for our Spring Musical Footloose are coming soon!  There will be an information meeting for those interested in auditioning on Tuesday, November 17 at 2:30 in room 182. We will discuss the show and the audition process. We are looking for a large cast who wants to have fun and put on a great show!

The holidays are right around the corner! During this time of year, let us take a moment to think about the families in our community who are not fortunate enough to have meals during Thanksgiving. Today through November 13, during homeroom, bring in your assigned items to help provide families in need with a perfect Thanksgiving meal. If you are not assigned a food item but wish to donate please bring your food donations to Officer Ferriero’s office. The goal this year is to fill Officer Ferriero’s Cruiser with food to be delivered to the community. Let’s come together Jamestown and Stuff the Cruiser!

There will be a meeting for all students interested in Indoor Track today after school in the cafeteria.

Attention any student interested in playing Baseball at Jamestown–There will be a “Meet the new Baseball Coach Night” this evening, Nov. 11 at 6:30 pm in the Lecture Hall.  Both players and parents are welcome to attend.

The Manga Club will meet Wednesday, Nov. 11th at 2:30 in the library.

The next Forensics meeting is this Thursday, November 12th in room 218. Stop by even if you didn’t make the first meeting we want your ideas and start on our pieces.

The new writing lab will be open this Wednesday, November 11th and every following Wednesday during AEP to students who would like extra help with writing.

Today is the blood drive.  Those signed up come to the auditorium during your scheduled time and be sure to bring a picture ID.  Thanks for giving the greatest of gifts, the gift of life!

The holidays are right around the corner! During this time of year, let us take a moment to think about the families in our community who are not fortunate enough to have meals during Thanksgiving. Today through November 13, during homeroom, bring in your assigned items to help provide families in need with a perfect Thanksgiving meal. If you are not assigned a food item but wish to donate please bring your food donations to Officer Ferriero’s office. The goal this year is to fill Officer Ferriero’s Cruiser with food to be delivered to the community. Let’s come together Jamestown and Stuff the Cruiser!

Attention, seniors.  Tribe College Outreach has two weeks left at Jamestown High School.  If you would like help from college students who have successfully completed the application process in the past – help with apps, with the college search, with essays, with mock interviews, with whatever – then come to Mr. Lampert’s room, #113, after school today.  That’s TODAY from 2:30 to 3:30.  Only two weeks left, so get the free help while you can.

Wrestling: meet at 2:30 pm in room 161

You must have a completed physical form on file with the Athletic Director in order to tryout for any sport.

Attention Freshman Class officers and all interested Freshman-There will be a meeting after school today, November 4th in room 235 for all freshman interested in doing service projects and/or fundraising activities to support the Class of 2019. This is your opportunity to get involved and have a say in the legacy of the Class of 2019.

Want to eat great food and support Jamestown? Come to Spirit Night at Zoe’s Kitchen  on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 4 pm  to 9 pm. No need to say you’re from Jamestown; just come have a great dinner and raise money for the JHS PTSA. Money raised will benefit you!

Jamestown High School Girl’s soccer will host their preseason meeting right after school on Monday, November 2nd at 2:30 in the lecture hall. Any girls that are interested in trying out for either Varsity or JV soccer in the spring should attend to meet the coaches & captions and find out about preseason training !
