Sebastian Ramirez was selected as a Pathways Scholar by the Virginia Tech College of Engineering Pathways for Future Engineers program.  Sebastian participated in a two-week summer session at Virginia Tech, where he engaged in hands-on STEM activities with Virginia Tech faculty and worked with a team of peers to design and present a solution to an engineering design project.

This program is open to 9th – 11th graders who aim to be first generation college students in their families and who have interest and ability in STEM fields.  Applications for next summer’s program are now being accepted. To learn more about the program, visit
