More immersive learning opportunities were explored in Rebecca Elton’s Field Biology class at Jamestown High School this year. Elton took her class along the Greensprings Interpretive Trail for a lesson on identifying characteristics of wetlands. In addition to the curriculum, students practiced communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills throughout the activity – a team scavenger hunt. Students were able to take the knowledge they learned in the classroom and apply it in a real-world setting, all while working together. Learn more about this experience here.

WJCC Schools is grateful for the ability to provide students with hands-on learning opportunities!
