Today is the blood drive. Those signed up come to the auditorium during your scheduled time and be sure to bring a picture ID.  Thanks for giving the greatest of gifts, the gift of life!

Freshman applications are due TODAY by 2:30 pm to Mrs. Christie in Room 213. Voting will begin on Monday, September 25

Attention Gang Green members: please attend our tailgate before our home football game at 11:30 am TOMORROW in the parking lot of Wanner Stadium. Wear your Gang Green shirts!

Congrats to the Girls and Boys Cross Country team for 1st place against York and Smithfield.  The team is 5-0 in the Bay River District!

Attention seniors!  If you have an overall GPA of 3.5 or better and are interested in membership in the National Honor Society, please see Mr. Meredith in room 238 for details.  Again, seniors with an interest in the National Honor Society, see Mr. Meredith for details.

Anyone interested in audition for the theatre production of A Christmas Carol, should sign up for an audition time outside of room 182 on the arts hallway. Auditions will take place Monday after school, all are welcome. Please contact Mr. Stone with questions.

Student tickets for the football game vs. Grafton will be on sale today 9/22 from 7:00 am – 2:00 pm in the main office.  Tickets are $3.00 and you may only purchase one ticket.  Only Jamestown High Schools students will be admitted with a student ticket-all others will be denied entry into the game.  If you purchase tickets at the stadium, they will be $6.00 each.

Attention all French Honor Society members and new inductees–please come to our first meeting of the year on Monday, September 25th, during AEP in room 220. Please bring yours dues, and graduating seniors, make sure to buy your cords. See you then!

TODAY IS THE DAY – FINAL NOTICE! Fall parking permits must be purchased & displayed on your vehicles by MONDAY, September 18th.  Security will be checking for permits next week! If you park on school grounds without a permit you will be subject to disciplinary action and loss of school sponsored privileges.  Get your permits today from Mrs. Deal in Room 206.

The Jamestown Medical Explorers Club will have its first meeting after school on Wednesday in Room 135. Any student interested in pursuing a career in the medical field is invited to attend. Stop by to learn more about the exciting schedule of speakers and field trips planned for this fall.

The Girls Cross Country Team placed 2nd overall at the Newport News Cross Country Invitational out of 40 teams that competed. The Boys Cross Country Team placed 4th overall out of 40 teams.  85 athletes on the Cross Country team competed!

Any student interested in wrestling-there will be a meeting in the Wrestling room Thursday, September 14th after school.

Do you like to argue? Do you follow current events?  If yes, then Jamestown’s new-for-2017 debate team wants you.  We will have a brief introductory meeting on Tuesday, Sept 12th, immediately after school in room 223 with Mr. Berry. This meeting should only last about 20 minutes. If you cannot attend but are still interested, stop by 223 for more information.

To all current members and any new members interested in being a part of the math honor society Mu Alpha Theta, we will be having a meeting on Tuesday September 12th after school in room 234.
