Do you like Fiddle Music, Hayrides, Doughnut Eating Competitions, and food?  Come on out to Jamestown High School for the Lafayette and Jamestown Orchestra Harvest Concert & Family Fun night THIS Tuesday at 6:30 pm.

Attention juniors and seniors: the following colleges will be here next week: Champlain College, High Point University, Emory and Henry College, Methodist University, University of Kansas, Lynchburg College, and Hollins University.  Sign up in Guidance at least one day prior to the visit.  Please see Mrs. Pottle if you have any questions.

We will be selling bracelets to support the Pulsera Project, these bracelets are handmade by artists in Nicaragua and each is beautifully designed, colorful and unique. Bracelets are 5 dollars and will be on sale during all lunches through October 24th. Please help give hope to the people of Nicaragua.

If so, then join Equalize Our Earth club as they host a Fall Bonanzarama field day this Saturday from 11am-2pm on the soccer field to raise money for the Water Project. Pick up a sign-up form on the door to room 225 and don’t forget to bring $3 to the event!

Attention juniors and seniors: The Coast Guard Academy will be here on Friday, October 22, at 10:20.  Sign up in Guidance by tomorrow afternoon.  Please see Mrs. Pottle if you have any questions.

Project Discovery  will meet today after school in room 153.

There will be no open gym today for boys basketball.  Open gyms will resume on Tuesday next week.

Attention all seniors: The National English Honor Society is hosting an after school peer tutoring workshop tomorrow, October 22, focusing on reviewing college essays. Representative from the William and Mary writing lab will be there to assist on Thursday. We will meet in room 212.

There will be a meeting for all those interested in swimming for Jamestown on Thursday, October 23rd after school in room 225.

Join the JHS Scholastic Bowl Team! PreSeason practice dates: Wed. Nov. 5th and Thursday, Nov, 13th. Form are due Nov. 5th. Forms are available outside room 150 & 230.

There is an optional Model UN today due to tomorrow’s half day.  It is not mandatory but feel free to come get some research done.

There will be no Operation Smile meeting today.

Don’t forget One Acts Wed. October 22nd. Try to make it.

The NEHS college essay workshop has been moved to this afternoon.  Representatives from William and Mary will be there to give tips on essay writing.  All seniors are welcome to attend.

It’s that time of year again!  Jamestown Theatre Department and Operation Smile are teaming up to host the Night of One Acts on October 22 at 7:00 PM.  Come to see all three high schools perform their competition plays.  Tickets are $5 at the door, so come help support beautiful smiles.
