/in Daily Announcements /by Renate BoseThis Friday Jamestown, Lafayette, and Warhill theatre programs will each present their one act plays. The event is being held at the Jamestown High School Auditorium and the cost is $5.00. The proceeds will be divided between all three theatre programs. Tickets are available at the door only. The event begins at 7pm and each play is about 30 minutes in length. Please email Mr. Stone with questions(james.stone@wjccschools.org).
Tribe College Outreach mentors will be here Today to work with seniors on college applications and college essays. They will meet after school from 2:30-3:30 in Lab 113. Interested in attending? See Mr Lampert in Room 113 for more information.
Today, from 4.30pm to 6pm at JHS the WJCC German programs are hosting “Bratwurst for a Cause/get your pink on”. Join us to walk for the cause, buy a shirt or Bratwurst! Shirts are $12 and all proceeds go to the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. Participants who will wear the shirt “get your pink on” will enter a raffle: movie tickets, panera and starbuck card prices:)
Attention Students, Faculty, and Staff: FBLA and CBE Students are raising money by selling from two brochures–The Virginia Diner and Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough. If you are interested in looking at these brochures, see an FBLA or CBE Work Study Student. Faculty and Staff: these order forms and booklets are in the mailroom for you to look through if you are interested. This sale is running for two weeks!

The week of October 26th, Jamestown will host representatives from the following colleges: Davidson College, the University of Richmond, the University of Kansas, Sacred Heart University, and the University of Maine. Schools from all over the country want to meet with our juniors and seniors! Please sign up in Guidance at least one day in advance. Also, Barbizon USA will visit during all three lunch periods on Tuesday, October 27th and offer scholarship opportunities of up to $100,000! Look for them outside of the cafeteria on Tuesday.
The Cleveland Institute of Art will be visiting this Friday, October 30th. This is an exciting opportunity for students who are interested in careers in a variety of art-related fields. Sign-up in Guidance by Thursday afternoon for this college visit.
