Attention Freshmen,This is a reminder that application packets for class officer elections are due to Mrs. Tomczak in room 235 by 2:30 today.

If you are interested in joining Model United Nations, please plan to attend the meeting this Wednesday after school in the library.  The deadline to register for the William & Mary Model UN conference is this Friday, September the 25th.  Conference fees are due no later than this Friday. IF you cannot be at the Wednesday meeting but want to attend the conference, please see Mrs. De Groft for a registration form.

Attention Seniors:  If your have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better and wish to seek membership in the national Honor Society, then please see Mr. Meredith in room 238 to pick up an information packet.

Interested in joining key club or already a member? Come to the first general meeting Tuesday the 22th right after school in the cafeteria! There will be food!

Attention Students: We will have our first FBLA meeting  Tuesday, September 22, during ELT. If you are interested in joining FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), please come to our meeting. Be prompt. We will be discussing various trips and activities so we need everyone who is interested to please attend. If you are not able to make the meeting, stop by Room 149, 151, 136, or 138 to see one of the FBLA Advisors

All students interested in Art Club or Operation Smile, please meet in Mrs. Brophy’s room on Tues. the 22nd. We are off to a new year with great ideas.

College visits are in full swing, and juniors and seniors are invited to visit with the following schools for the week of September 21st: Virginia Tech on Wednesday, Roanoke on Thursday, and Bridgewater on Friday. You must sign up in Guidance at least 1 day in advance to attend. Future Hokies, Maroons, or Eagles, don’t miss your chance to learn more about these schools!

Homecoming 2015– October 10th from 8:00 – 11:00 PM in the JHS courtyard. Tickets for the dance will be on sale October 5th-9th. Tickets will ONLY be sold during lunches. No tickets sold at the door or after school. Date request forms are available in the main office. They must be completely filled out and returned by Oct. 9th at 9:00 am.

All those students interested in joining the Jamestown High School Latin Club, becoming part of the National Latin Honor Society and attending the Virginia Junior Classical League convention should attend an interest meeting after school at 2:30 on Wednesday September 23rd in Room 144

Auditions for the Fall Play- It’s A Wonderful Life– will be on Tuesday, September the 22 afterschool. You need to sign up for an audition time on the bulletin board outside of Room 182. No experience necessary to audition. See Mr. Stone with questions.
