For African American History Month Jamestown will be honoring the past, celebrating the present and preparing for the future of our great town. All of our information will be about Williamsburg and its people. We will have daily informational messages and several interviews from people who grew up in our great town.

  • The Historic First Baptist Church of Williamsburg, on Scotland Street in Colonial Williamsburg, was first organized in 1776 by a group of courageous slaves and blacks. Led first by Reverend Moses, they built a brush arbor to gather secretly at Greensprings Plantation.  Watch this video for more information about the Historic First Baptist Church of Williamsburg.
