Jamestown Students Accepted to Summer Governor’s School Programs

Four rising seniors were recently invited to attend the highly competitive Summer Residential Governor’s Schools in Academics and Visual and Performing Arts.  Another five students were nominated and accepted into the Governor’s School Full and Partial Immersion Language Academies.  Governor’s School programs offer intense and academically challenged multi-week programs at colleges and universities throughout the state for hundreds of gifted students.

This summer, Abigail Carter, Eliza Geer and Will Van Dyke will attend the Visual and Performing Arts School program at Radford University.  Lehman Montgomery will attend the Medicine and Health Sciences program at Virginia Commonwealth University.  Max Ballado, Jeffrey Shi, Tiffany Vasco, Alexandra Solomon and Samantha Zhang will attend the Language Immersion programs at Washington & Lee University.
