Principal’s Newsletter: May 12 – 18, 2019

Jamestown High School - From the Principals Desk

WEEK OF MAY 12, 2019

A Message from the Principal

The month of May continues to move forward at a seemingly blistering pace. We continue Advanced Placement testing, but JHS will start Standards of Learning (SOL) testing this week as well. For more information regarding SOL testing schedule, please see testing information in this newsletter. JHS will have its Prom on Saturday as well.

With this busy schedule, we need to make sure we are making the BEST decisions not just good decisions. Prom is a great time to commiserate with friends and make memories. However, do not make the mistake of taking risks with your health and livelihood. Drinking and driving costs lives. Also, experimenting with drugs and alcohol has legal and scholastic consequences. Have fun this weekend, make memories, and enjoy the Prom and After Prom. PLEASE make sure you are doing the right thing at the right time.

Let’s go to work,

H.E. Townsend, IV
