2015 Baseball and Softball preseason workout information

Starting Monday, January 5th and continuing through Wednesday, February 18th, baseball and softball winter workouts will be on Mondays and Wednesdays. Baseball will have strength training from 4-5 at Lafayette and then skill development from 5:30-7 at James Blair. Softball will practice from 7-8:30 at James Blair.

NEW DATE FOR FALL SPORTS AWARD CEREMONY

Due to the State Championship football game and rescheduled boys basketball games, the Fall Sports Award Ceremony has been moved to Tuesday, January 20th. It will be at 6 PM in the auditorium.

Holiday Concert

Lafayette’s Jazz Ensemble welcomes students and staff to the Holiday Concert. The school heard beautiful selections from the choral, jazz, band and orchestral groups.

  • Students after school tutoring for the January SOL tests will be held for Algebra 1, Reading, and Geometry today at dismissal. Please check your letter or see Mrs. Colorado in room 600 for the location.
  • Congratulations to both the JV and Varsity girls’ basketball teams on impressive wins over Smithfield. The JV team won in overtime 53 / 52. Alyssa Hogan and Paola Territo led the way with 13 points each, Kasiah Grant had 12 points and Deaja Williams had 7points.  Paola Territo hit the game tying free throw and then the game winning shot with 8 seconds left …excellent win ladies!

    The Varsity was equally impressive as they defeated Smithfield 60 / 53. Kenya Holiday had a career high of 30 points. Rachel Lia had 12 points, and cleaning up the glass was Raven Blake, Grace Macomber, and Jill Curtis. Great job Lady Rams!

Earth Science tutoring will be held in the Upper Commons during AEP today (you should have a pass from Mrs. Colorado if you are a part of this AEP tutoring).   • Reminder to Mu Alpha Theta members the induction ceremony will be held on today at 3:00, in the Lecture Hall. New and existing members should attend. It will count as the December meeting.
  • Attention Spanish Honor Society Members we will have our winter celebration today immediately after school in room 302.  Nos vemos.
