VHSL Conference & Regional Champions

Lafayette High School Theatre cast and crew recently won the VHSL competition and became VHSL Regional Champions! The 4A Regional One Act Festival included eight high schools and 154 students. Five Best Actor awards were given, with two presented to Lafayette actors, eleventh-graders Jack Mills and Emma Rote. This will be the ninth year in a row that LHS Theatre will participate in a State final competition.  The cast and crew will present their award-winning one-act play The Yellow Boat at the State competition in Charlottesville on December 8th. We wish them luck! Break a leg Lafayette Thespians!

The National Art Honor Society will meet today during lunches in room 103.

Attention Seniors – Fayetteville State University will be here on Wednesday, November 25th at 9:00 am.  Sign up in the Counseling Office, see Mrs. Pottle if you have any questions.

Looking for reliable and trustworthy students who would be willing to make a season-long commitment to a team.  Please see Coach Downs in room 112 if you are interested in becoming a manager for girls or boys basketball. Applications are now being accepted.

The library will be closing at 2:30pm, we will resume our normal schedule on Tuesday, November 24th.

The Theatre department needs an audience at the VHSL regional meet here at LHS on Saturday, November 21st at 3:15pm – admission is free.

Seniors who are interested in going on the senior trip, deposits are due by Friday, November 20th to Mrs. Hatcher in room 300 or F3.

Daily Announcements for Thursday, November 19, 2015

Only students with special permission will be allowed to use the clinic bathroom.  Please use the bathroom closest to your classroom.   If you are between classes and need to see the nurse, please check in with your classroom teacher prior to coming.  Also, the clinic is closed from 1:00-1:30pm for lunch, except for emergencies.

All Cross Country track athletes that are interested in running Indoor Track need to meet with Coach Jones briefly after school today for some important information.
