Neuroscience interns

Lafayette juniors Kimberly King and Hayley Quarles will work as interns at the College of William & Mary’s Neuroscience Lab for six weeks during the summer. They will have the opportunity to assist with research on mammalian respiratory neurobiology with graduate and undergraduate students in the Department of Applied Science. Congratulations!

Problem solving presentation

Mr. Aadahl’s students learned about problem-solving through entrepreneurship recently. The presenter was Graham Henshaw, Clinical Professor and Executive Director of the Miller Entrepreneurship Center at the College of William & Mary. Mr. Henshaw is also a Lafayette alumni, graduating from LHS in 1998.

The list of new Rambassador members has been posted.  Please stop by room 404 or 409 to see if you made the list.  Also, there is a mandatory Rambassador meeting today at 2:30 in room 404.  Dues for new members are $25 and returning members are $20.  

Please join the History on Film Club for popcorn and drinks today at 2:30 in the lecture hall for “Captain Phillips”.  The true story of Captain Richard Phillips and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two hundred years.

Spanish Honor Society Members: if you are interested in running for president of the Spanish Honor Society please see Mrs. Marzana in room 302 today.

Rising juniors and seniors: the Econ/Personal Finance course is now being offered free of charge over the summer.  If you want to knock out this credit and get ahead, see your school counselor as soon as possible for more information.  Registration forms are due to the Counseling Office by Wednesday, June 8th, first come, first serve.
