Collection dates run through Tuesday, May 5th. Help stock the food bank shelves in our community. It’s time to make a difference in your world.
Attention Juniors & Seniors – Prom tickets will be go on sale Monday, April 27th through Friday, May 8th. Tickets will be sold on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during all three lunches. The cost is $25 per person, checks need to be payable to LHS. All guests that are not Lafayette students need to have a âDate Request Formâ approved before their ticket can be purchased. Date Request Forms are located in the Main office.
After Prom will be held at AMF Bowling this year and tickets will go on sale Monday, April 27th through Friday, May 8th. Tickets will be sold Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during all 3 lunches. The cost is $15 per person OR $12 per person with the purchase of a prom ticket. There are great prizes this year including two tickets to Taylor Swift and two tickets to Fallout Boy/Wiz Khalifa/Hoodie Allen and much, much more.

Attention SENIORS, as graduation approaches, it is time to think about the words of wisdom you would like to share with your classmates, families and friends. If you are interested in speaking at this years’ graduation ceremony, please visit the LHS Home page for the link to the application or stop by Mrs. Newcomb’s office to pick one up. Open gym for anyone wanting to play volleyball will be on Monday after school from 3:00 – 4:30pm and Wednesday evening from 7:00 – 8:30pm here at LHS. We will hold open gym on Mondays and Wednesdays until school ends.
Students do you find yourselves hungry in the morning and lunch is still hours away? Well feel hungry no longer, you will be able to buy fresh homemade brownies each morning in the upper commons during the transition from 1st to 2nd block. The cost will be only $1.00 for a fresh homemade brownie, so starting today just look for the cart with the bright yellow sign and remember to help LHS by keeping the halls clean and placing all trash in the trash bins.
Congratulations to the “Egg Dropâ team of Alejandro Gonzalez, Liam Hurley and Marcos Piggott. They competed on behalf of Lafayette at the 4th Annual Newport News Shipbuilding Egg Drop Competition and earned first place by their performance in fabricating, testing and presenting the results of their “egg protection vehicle.” This was a Tidewater/Peninsula area competition and this was our first time competing.
