The History on Film Club presents Shooting Dogs today at 2:30 in the Lecture Hall.

Attention all Lit-Mag members, there is a meeting today after school in room 102 at 2:30.

Open gym for anyone wanting to play volleyball will be tonight from 7:00 – 8:30pm here at LHS.  We will hold open gym on Mondays and Wednesdays until school ends.

Current National Honor Society members are reminded to turn in their Service Logs to Ms. Scott on Thursday, April 30th.

Calling all food lovers who like to cook and eat.  Please join Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Channing for our 3rd annual “Cooking Club” classes.  The day has been changed to Thursday, April 30th so that more students can join in on the fun.  We will be meeting at 2:30 in room 417 and will be making a special dish that we know you will love.

Reminder for all Mu Alpha Theta members, there will be a meeting on Monday, May 4th after school in room 401. At the meeting, we will be electing officers for next year. Tutoring hour logs for all Seniors and any Juniors running for office will be due at that time.

Did you know that 1 in every 6 Americans go hungry every day?  You can help to solve this problem.  Bring in nonperishable food items to your 1st block class to win a class breakfast.  Collection dates run through Tuesday, May 5th.   Help stock the food bank shelves in our community. It’s time to make a difference in your world.

Attention Juniors & Seniors – Prom tickets will be on sale today through Friday, May 8th. Tickets will be sold on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during all three lunches.  The cost is $25 per person, checks need to be payable to LHS.  All guests that are not Lafayette students need to have a “Date Request Form” approved before their ticket can be purchased.  Date Request Forms are located in the Main office.

After Prom will be held at AMF Bowling this year, tickets will be on sale through Friday, May 8th.  Tickets will be sold on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during all 3 lunches.  The cost is $15 per person OR $12 per person with the purchase of a prom ticket.  There are great prizes this year including two tickets to Taylor Swift and two tickets to Fallout Boy/Wiz Khalifa/Hoodie Allen and much, much more.   Buy your After Prom tickets by Monday, May 4th and enter to win a free boutonniere, corsage and dinner at Berret’s Seafood.

Students do you find yourselves hungry in the morning and lunch is still hours away?  Well feel hungry no longer, you will be able to buy fresh homemade brownies each morning in the upper commons during the transition from 1st to 2nd block. The cost will be only $1.00 for a fresh homemade brownie, so just look for the cart with the bright yellow sign and remember to help LHS by keeping the halls clean and placing all trash in the trash bins.
