Please Join Parent VUE

September 2015

Dear Rawls Byrd families,

Welcome back to school!

We’d like to take this opportunity to touch base with all of our families about Parent VUE. This is the second year ParentVue has been in place for our division.  The system provides online access to help families stay up-todate about their students’ grades, assignments and attendance. Additionally, ParentVue provides families with another way to communicate with our schools and for schools to communicate with families. ParentVue replaced Edline, a program WJCC families used for several years.

If you have not yet received an activation code, please contact our school’s registrar, Mary Dillon (mary.dillon@wjccschools.org or 757-229-7597, ext. 48107). If you have a Parent VUE account already set up, please take a minute to verify that all of your contact information is correct. On Parent VUE, you have the ability to update phone numbers, email addresses and emergency contacts. The link to our ParentVUE is: https://wjccvue.wjccschools.org/Login_PXP.aspx.

Once you have activated your student’s account, the account will stay with that student as long as he/she is enrolled in a WJCC public school. You will not have to reactivate your account when your son/daughter transitions to middle or high school. Additionally, you should be able to view all your children’s profiles, even if they attend different schools in WJCC, from one account. If you have an account and you are not able to view all of your students’ profiles, please Mrs. Dillon a detailed email so she can assist you.

VUE is also available as an application for smart phones and can be downloaded either through iTunes (if you have an iphone) or Google Play for android users. Once you have your activation code, please feel free to call or email with any questions.  Also, if you need any help setting up your account, please let us help you. Your partnership is important to us!

Very Warmly,

Karen Swann, Principal
