2nd Grade Celebrates Earth Day

The second grade classes of Mrs. Harmon and Mrs. Hughson celebrated Earth Day with a litter patrol on the Matoaka trail. Thanks to them – and to Mrs. Poulter who put up a new Earth Day book to read on the trail – our trail is once again a thing of beauty and a great way to get some fresh air and exercise while enjoying nature!thumbnail_IMG_0024thumbnail_IMG_0022 thumbnail_IMG_0014 thumbnail_IMG_0013 thumbnail_FullSizeRender thumbnail_IMG_0024thumbnail_IMG_0011

Earth Day Is Everyday Student Trash Patrol

Recess Earth Day SupportersThere is great hope for the future of the planet if these student clean-up volunteers are any indication! On their own initiative, these 4th grade girls put on protective gloves, grab some trash bags, and pick up the school grounds during their recess. We salute their efforts to make the world, or at least our little corner of it, a better place!
