A Musical Salute to Our Veterans

Healthy Living Week Features Chef Demonstration

Chef Chris Long from Williamsburg’s Second Street Restaurant reprised his role as Matoaka’s favorite visiting chef, once again providing students with a demonstration of a healthy and delicious recipe that families can easily prepare at home. For this year’s Chef Demo, Chef Long showed students how to prepare a squash-based pasta sauce using produce from KelRae Farm in Toano.  Students and staff sampled the pasta dish and it was declared a winner!

Chef Long shared the recipe so everyone can try it at home:  Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce.
