It was an awesome day at the Great Computer Challenge for Matthew Whaley! We placed 2nd in internet scavenger hunt, 3rd in coding, and honorable mention in video editing. Congratulations Patriots 🤩!

Barbara McClintock came and paid our K-3 Patriots a visit to talk about her books and how she became an author.  She even added to our growing library wall of illustrations!

Our annual Strawberry Festival is almost here!  Come and join us for a fun filled afternoon/evening on Friday, May 11th from 4:15-7 p.m. in the back of Matthew Whaley for tons of fun to include:  inflatables, games, prizes, food, awesome baskets up for auction, and so much more!  Tickets are sale this week and at the event (please see the ticket forms from your child sent home last week).  We are also in need of volunteers!  Please use the sign up genius below if you’re willing to help out.  We hope to see you all there!

Fifth Grade Choral Festival: Broadway Beat!

Our fabulously talented fifth grade chorus participated in the annual WJCC Choral Festival and this year’s theme was Broadway Beat! They did such an excellent job!

Fourth Grade Visits Colonial Williamsburg!

Our little Patriots are already fortunate enough to go to school right next to Colonial Williamsburg, but we were VERY fortunate to be afforded a grant that allowed our fourth graders a guided tour this year! It was really cool to learn about so much history in our literal “backyard”.
