Matthew Whaley hosted a family night filled with educational activities on all grade levels and it was such a success! There were engaging projects created by our students, make and take games, exercising with SHIP, and nutritiously delicious food presented by Mrs. Brown. We love spending time with our Patriot families!
Brian Weaver, WJCC Energy Specialist, came and talked to our third graders about energy usage and conservation. Prior to his arrival, third grade made a community action poster, wore “MW Energy Team” badges created by Wendy Lucy, and surveyed first floor energy use by checking all rooms several different times a day to see if people were in the room when the lights were on/off. Then, Mr. Weaver shared his electricity software used to monitor energy usage across all of the WJCC schools. Energy conversation is so important!
Jennifer Lafountain with Heritage Humane Society came by with her adorable adoptee, Cooper, to see our SCA and pick up all of the amazing donations from Puppy Bowl! Thank you so much for the support. Your donations will help so many animals in need at HHS .

This past week, two very beloved and talented educators were nominated for teacher of the year: Meredith Watkins and Tameka Glover. They are both the very definition of what a dedicated, loving, professional role model should be for our community.
We are so excited to announce that the 2018-19 Teacher of the Year is… MEREDITH WATKINS! We are so proud and thankful to have you in our Patriot family! Congratulations!!
