Learning About Election Day

Miss Lynn, our library media assistant, visits Mrs. Pace’s third grade class each year to discuss how to vote and what happens on election day.  Miss Lynn is an official officer of elections on election day, so she comes to share her expertise to the students prior to election day each year.  Some of the things she talks about are the greeter, how to cast your ballot, what ballot is, and why you get a sticker when you leave the polling place.

After Miss Lynn is finished, Mrs. Pace’s class participates in their class election for 2 class officers who become leaders within the classroom and represent her class in the school SCA meetings.
