Award Winning Children’s Author Peter Brown Visits Norge

Author and Illustrator Peter Brown came to Norge on October 13 to talk to grades 1-3.  They heard about his childhood and how he became an author and illustrator of children’s books.  They also listened to him read one of his books, My Teacher is a Monster! (No, I am Not.) as well as watched him draw one of his illustrations.

Peter Brown is pictured here reading a “thank you booklet” that Mrs. Parsons’ second graders made for him.  They drew their own versions of Creepy Carrots (from his book Creepy Carrots) and thanked him for coming to Norge.

You can learn more about Peter Brown and his books at the Peter Brown Studio.

An Occasion for the Arts – Norge Style!

Occasion for the Arts – Norge Style!

Mrs. Wiggins knew how much effort went into the artwork for An Occasion for the Arts so a special display is set up in the front hallway here at Norge to exhibit the student work that would have been at the show this past weekend if it had not been cancelled due to weather conditions. Swing by the front of the school and check out our talented roadrunners!
