Rufus the Reindeer, a holiday version of “Flat Stanley”, travels around the country posting pictures of his adventures. This Rufus was sent to Mrs. Beatty by Evelyn Pratt, a former Norge student. Rufus joined Mrs. Beatty’s fourth grade class while they completed the Hour of Code in the computer lab on December 17th.

Over 60 Norge students, staff, and family members, including the Norge SHIP Running Club, came to run/walk the Sentara Sleighbell 5K on December 12. Racer, the Norge Roadrunner mascot, came to cheer the team on too! Everybody did an awesome job and finished the race. It was beautiful weather for a healthy Saturday morning start!
K-2 students are enjoying their hour of code this week.
Students complete puzzles and mazes using computer programming logic. Students also learn to “pair program”, which means working with a partner. Students have to be encouraging and cooperative in order to be successful!
