All Norge K-5 students participated in the Hour of Code during Computer Lab Centers during the first week of December. During the Hour of Code, elementary students learn how to code using a simplified coding language called “blockly”. Students ‘snap’ these blocks together to create code that the computer can read. All students learn to sequence, loop, and debug while advanced students also learn about functions, if/then statements, events, and so much more!
Norge students practice coding all year, however during the Hour of Code week they play interest-based coding games to enhance their practice and hone their skills.
These are the games chosen for this year’s Norge Hour of Code:
Hour of Code: Beginner
Hour of Code: Intermediate
Hour of Code: Advanced
