The students in Ms Coggin’s second grade class teamed up to help a family of five in need this holiday season. Students learned about the importance of giving to others, how if everyone does a little a lot can be achieved, and giving to others expecting nothing in return. Students also reflected on how they, even at a young age, can help make a positive difference in the lives of others. Our students are excited for this family and feel good about helping others.
Mrs. Canova and Mrs. Roehrbein’s kindergarten classes joined together to celebrate their Holidays Around the World unit! This included a “train ride” in their pajamas on the Polar Express complete with a special train ticket used to board the “train”. Each student received a small bell! They also enjoyed some time in the “Dining Car” for a special snack. The children were able to retell the story afterward. A memorable learning experience was had by all.
