Mrs. Packer’s first grade class read “The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin”. The story taught the students not to judge something by how it looks and that our differences are what make us special. Afterwards, students made their own different pumpkins because it is OK to be different. In addition, the first graders counted the pumpkin seeds inside their class pumpkin and found a grand total of 521 seeds!
