Attention all high school sophomores and juniors with a passion for languages! The Governor’s World Language Academies are now accepting applications. This program includes full-immersion academies in French, German, and Spanish, a partial-immersion Japanese Academy, and a Latin Academy.

Each high school is invited to nominate two students per language academy. The application deadline is Friday, December 8. Please visit the Virginia Department of Education World Language Academies website for information and the Online Student Application Portal. Students selected as nominees will complete online language testing at their school in January 2024.
