Attendance Matters

Published On: May 10th, 2024

As we begin the final month of school and the standardized testing window opens, we want to remind all students and parents that daily school attendance still matters. Even if your student is not scheduled to take an SOL or is exempt from final exams, it’s important to be present each day for structured learning opportunities. Please remember that under current WJCC Schools regulations, excessive absenteeism may result in loss of credit so please continue to monitor your student’s attendance.

For those students in credit bearing classes at the high school and middle school levels who may have exceeded nine (9) absences during the spring semester, please be on the lookout for information from your school about attendance waivers.
