Celebrate WJCC Schools Hidden Heroes: Custodians

Published On: September 16th, 2023

“No work is insignificant. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence,” said Martin Luther King Jr.
WJCC Schools custodians take pride in the work they do at our schools, from deep-cleaned classrooms to buffed out banisters. Our custodians have a vital role diligently keeping schools clean and healthy all year. During summer, every surface is shined for a fresh look come fall. And like at your own home, it seems like their work is never done!

But there’s much more to what they do than keeping up with cleaning schedules. Our custodians pride themselves on creating a positive atmosphere for learning. Among the first to arrive and last to leave the building each day, custodians are a valuable resource offering encouragement and a helping hand when students and staff need it most.

Hear from our custodians about what inspires them each day here. Their positivity is contagious, and this team often receives emails of gratitude ranging from its stringent cleaning standards to being role models for students.

We can’t thank each member of our custodian team enough for their work and positive influence in our schools!

This is the fourth in a series celebrating our Hidden Heroes at WJCC Schools. Stay tuned for more!
