Celebrate WJCC Schools Hidden Heroes: School Security Officers
School security officers (SSOs) are more than a dependable presence at each of our schools. These well-respected team players collaborate with school leadership and students helping to create stronger and more positive school communities. They are WJCC Schools Hidden Heroes working in plain sight!
In addition to helping secure school buildings, SSOs develop meaningful relationships with students, staff and community members during and after school. They are a trusted resource bringing a new perspective to the school environment. According to Brian Weaver, WJCC Schools Supervisor for School Safety and Emergency Management, our SSOs can have a profound impact on the day-to-day success at our schools. Students look up to and respect SSOs because of their unique role.
Thanks to our school security officers for the amazing job they do in our schools! Follow along as we recognize other WJCC Hidden Heroes!
