City Council releases Feasibility Study Report

Published On: March 11th, 2024

On Monday, March 11, WJCC Schools families and staff received an email from Dr. Herron referencing the feasibility study report released by the City of Williamsburg during its March 11 City Council Work Session.

Good evening,

In June 2023, the City of Williamsburg announced its plan to conduct a feasibility study regarding the possibility of running its own school system separate from James City County. The feasibility study report was presented during today’s City Council Work Session and is available online.

As noted in the City’s news release, “No decision regarding the future of the joint school system was made at the City Council work session.” The city outlined opportunities for the public to provide feedback through its news release and website.

As always, we will continue to deliver the finest instruction, support, and services to our community and I will continue to update you as this process unfolds. To review past communication on the topic, please click here.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support.

Sincerely,
Olwen Herron, Ed.D.
