The WJCC Schools Curriculum & Instruction Department and Department of Gifted Education and Talent Development seek to create a Gifted Ad Hoc Committee to provide feedback regarding course pathways for gifted math students.  Stakeholders may include parents of current elementary gifted student(s) or other individuals who have knowledge of the gifted math program in elementary school, elementary school administrators, middle school administrators, upper elementary Gifted & Talent Development Resource Teachers, central office administrators, and a School Board member.

WJCC Schools seeks diversity in its Gifted Ad Hoc Committee, both in the stakeholder categories as described above, and in the connection to its schools and grade levels. Interested individuals should be able to commit attend an hour-long, in-person meeting on Wednesday, December 7, at 5:00 PM. Committee members will discuss advanced math pathways in WJCC Schools and provide feedback on the current program model for 5th grade gifted math students.
